Creative Research Idea
I want to write about the topic of hunger throughout the world. I want to be able to write it in a fictional way that will include valid non-fictional information. I think that hunger is an issue that is sometimes overlooked so I would love to try to present it in a way that is interesting to everyone.

sounds good, some of my students in the past have told stories from fictional perspectives -- so you could do that for this (perhaps someone in a particular country, or an aid worker dealing with it, etc.)
